Walking into Hackett Catholic Prep this school year, students may have seen a new face, Kevin White, or, as we students should call him, Mr. White. Mr. White is thrilled to be part of Hackett Catholic Prep and encourages everyone to share in his enthusiasm and energy for a fresh new school year. Students are really excited to have someone like him at our school. Senior football player Keegan McCue said, “It already feels like he cares about everyone at HCP and wants to be involved with the school's culture.”
Mr. White states his goal at Hackett is to “create a culture of respect and pride.” He wants everyone to know that he is there to support them, but also to hold them accountable so that each student can do their very best. I asked Mr. White what makes Hackett different from other schools, and he said, "The sense of tradition and pride here is different — you can feel it in the halls, at games, and in how students and staff care about each other. It really feels like a family, and that’s special.” This comment shows Mr. White’s dedication and care for the students who attend here. When asked what he enjoys most about being a part of the Hackett community, he said, “I love the relationships. Every day I get to connect with students, teachers, and families who are all committed to the same mission. That sense of unity makes my role meaningful.” Since Mr. White is an alumnus of HCP, he knows what it's like to be in our shoes and understands what it takes to form connections with people in our community.
Mr. White’s impact will not only be felt within the school but also outside of the school. When asked about engagements outside of campus, he said, “You’ll see me at games, performances, and events — not just as a dean, but as a supporter and fan. I want students to know I value what they’re passionate about, whether it’s athletics, the arts, or service.” Mr. White wants to be connected with everyone at Hackett, so if you see him at an event, make sure to say hello.
