Julianne Mounce, a senior at Hackett, is concluding her four years and planning to go to Saint Mary’s College in Indiana. She hopes to study Speech Language Pathology and ultimately open her own speech therapy clinic. The reasoning behind this career choice is because she wants to be able to help others. Speaking is a part of everyday life and Julianne wants people to feel confident when speaking. With this in mind, she also hopes to move out of the state of Michigan and to somewhere much warmer to start her own clinic there.
However, when asked about her time at Hackett, her favorite memory revolves around sports and theater. When thinking about sports, she really enjoyed herself when she was playing soccer and cross country. The dynamic of both teams and the coaches played a crucial part in how the team functioned. While these were all of her favorite memories, she will miss one thing about Hackett: AP Literature that she took during her junior year, specifically the people in her class. She also explained that she will miss the school dances and getting ready with all of her friends.

When looking ahead to her time in college, she is very excited to meet new people. She also is looking forward to gaining a sense of independence and freedom. Julianne, a four year varsity soccer player, hopes to join a soccer club during her time in college. Saint Mary’s College is gaining a well rounded individual.
The Hackett community will miss her but wishes her good luck as she navigates these next four years. Congratulations Julianne!
