Yosef Obias, soon heading to Western Michigan University (WMU), is ready to begin her next chapter! Yosef has been accepted into WMU’s Frostic School of Art, an impressive accomplishment that required submitting numerous pieces of her own work

as a part of a separate application. At WMU, Yosef plans to double major in art, studying both Kinetic Imaging (Animation) and Graphic Design.
Looking toward the future, Yosef has set high goals for herself. She hopes to begin her career in graphic design, working for well-known companies as their graphic designer. Eventually, after gaining experience and building a great reputation, she would love to transition into animation working on television projects. Yosef shared that although she knows she will have a full plate and will be staying very busy, she is confident that God will guide her whenever she needs Him. With that faith, she feels certain she is pursuing the right career.
Yosef has attended Hackett for all four years, each year bringing new memories and experiences. Yet when asked about her favorite memory, there was no hesitation. Yosef said her favorite moments have always been the first day of school each year. For her, those days are filled with excitement, some nerves, and the joy of seeing everyone again after the long summer break. Yosef has truly loved her time at Hackett and will miss many aspects of the community. She will miss her classmates, her friends, the teachers, and the opportunities Hackett provides. Most of all, she will miss the strong faith community. During her time at Hackett her faith has grown tremendously through the support of people who encouraged her relationship with God.
When Yosef reflects on her time at Hackett, she cannot help but smile. She is incredibly grateful for her time here, but she is also excited to move forward. She looks forward to meeting new people, learning from new professors, and being a part of new experiences.
Yosef will certainly be missed at Hackett, but WMU is gaining an amazing student who will no doubt go above and beyond. Congratulations Yosef! We wish you the very best. Go Broncos!
